Dr. Wintz graduated from the University of Texas, then attended Baylor College of Medicine. She did her intership and residency, as well as her renal fellowship at the University of California at Los Angeles. She is the recipient of the Coleman Caplowitz award for outstanding performance while at Baylor, and graduated both college and medical school with top honors. She has been named one of America's Top Physicians by the Consumer Research Counsel and is listed among Houston's Top Doctors (H Texas Magazine). She is a Clinical Assistant Professor of Medicine at Baylor College of Medicine and at Weil Cornell Medical College.
